If anyone was at the Fremont Art and Wine festival today, could you please tell me who the super yummy Raspberry Hard Cider was made by? It was so good. I hate the taste of alcohol, and this one didn’t have any taste of it that I could find. It was like bubbly raspberry juice. So if you could let me know who makes it, and if they have a website, that would be awesome. Thanks!

Book Quote for August 5th

A book is the only place in which you can examine a fragile thought without breaking it, or explore an explosive idea without fear it will go off in your face. It is one of the few havens remaining where a man’s mind can get both provocation and privacy.

Live from WordCamp 2006 San Francisco!! Big thanks to Matt, creator of WordPress. He threw an awesome conference. Great BBQ, lots of very informative speakers, and neat venue. For those that were there, I was the girl in all black on the light colored cane. For those that I did get to talk too, please send me a comment with your blog so that I can blogroll you! For those that just picked up my card, contact me anyway! I am always looking for new ideas and people. Otherwise, thanks again to the entire WordPress team and I hope to see you all next year!

I’m sorry!!! I was caught up with school stuff and my mother. Books are my love, but school is a necessity. But for my screw-up, you get two quotes today!

There’s nothing to match curling up with a good book when there’s a repair job to be done around the house.

This one seemed appropriate for today. The house is a mess, and I spend most of the day reading. Oh well, there is always tomorrow.

A good book is always on tap; it may be decanted and drunk a hundred times, and it is still there for further imbibement.

This nice and subtle happiness of reading, this joy not chilled by age, this polite and unpunished vice, this selfish, serene life-long intoxication.

Book Quote for July 30th

The time to read is any time: no apparatus, no appointment of time and place, is necessary. It is the only art which can be practised at any hour of the day or night, whenever the time and inclination comes, that is your time for reading; in joy or sorrow, health or illness.

~Holbrook Jackson

Book Quote for July 29th

A blessed companion is a book, - a book that, fitly chosen, is a lifelong friend,… a book that, at a touch, pours its heart into our own.

I’m sorry that this got out so late today. Our dearest cat, Miss Kitty, has passed away today. We (my other roommates and I) will miss her very much. At this time, the money that we get from your Amazon purchases will go to a pet shelter. We have not yet chosen a shelter, so if you live the the greater San Francisco bay area and would like to suggest one, please do so by clicking on the “Contact Jenn” page. Thanks to everyone who had been rooting for Miss Kitty.

Book Quote for July 28th

A book reads the better which is our own, and has been so long known to us, that we know the topography of its blots, and dog’s ears, and can trace the dirt in it to having read it at tea with buttered muffins.

~Charles Lamb, Last Essays of Elia, 1833

Once again, thanks for reading my side project. If there is something you think I can do better or that you would like to see more of, please click on the “contact Jenn” button on the left side of your screen and let me know. Also for those that are concerned about Miss Kitty (pictured in the “about” page next to me) she is doing okay. She is a bit more wobbly then we like seeing her, but she is a little scrapper and she will pull through. If you would like to help with her medical bills, please click on one of my Amazon links. A small portion of your purchase will go towards her chemo treatment. Thanks again for reading.
